Watermelon Slush

I know one thing,when I make it again I won't add the lemon lime soda,it doesn't really taste like watermelon with it in to me.

Hmm,this is a good soup it want your soup to be creamy but I don't think I'll make it again for I like my onion soup,well,not creamy.

I haven't personally ate this dish,I made it for my parnets but they say it's delish!I did everything exactly and I went a little bit over the time cooking in the oven so the top is more browned than usual but my dad says he likes it that way!

Watermelon Pie

This is a good summertime pie as several reviews have stated but...okay,I made as is,well,I only has 8 ozs. of cool whip but I think 12 would have been too much,and I did cut the watermelon pieces to tiny about like a large pebble in some pieces,I think now they would have been better bigger but it's just SO sweet! Mind,it's still a good pie so all you can do is try it.

Barbeque Pork Two Ways

I made this in the slow cooker and I did everything but the dry mustard and the ketchup because I just don't like ketchup. After it simmered all night to the point I could take it apart,I added some of our own bbq sauce and it came out great! this is a good sandwich to make everybody on a summer day!

Garden Fresh Tomato Soup

I wouldn't say it's the best but it sure is good! only thing I added was mince garlic,(garlic goes with EVERYTHING) kinda reminded me of tomato gravy which I think I may turn the leftovers into. Good soup to make especially with the 'Darra's Famous Tuna Waldorf salad fixing's on this same site. Give it a try.

I only rated it a 4 because I didn't make it EXACTLY as written,I didn't have curry powder so I used some TOny's,I didn't have walnuts but I really didn't miss them with the apples,no celery but that's my preference and I didn't use croissants and oh yeah! I didn't use shallots,just plain old good onions and I didn't put it in a sandwich form,just got a fork and have at it! very good!

Rosemary Ranch Chicken Kabobs

I wasn't able to get chicken breasts so I used turkey instead and I used orange bell pepper to go in between and it was SOOO good! Oh yeah,I did not use rosemary I used garlic in stead,it made it very good!

Hot German Potato Salad III

I made this tonight,did everything but the celery seed,I didn't care for the vinegar and I had another commet on that but other than that,it's fine. And oh yeah,I only did six potatoes and that was plenty for a family of 4.

Grandma's Lemon Meringue Pie

I haven't ate this pie yet but I just made it and it was incredibly easy,I had some trouble with the meringue,it didn't get as STIFF as my mother makes hers but....it came out watery on the bottom but I know weather sometimes effects how you cook things.

I'll rate this a three,because even tho they are super easy to make,DON'T leave them in the oven for 14-17 minutes like it says,maybe it was my stove but they burned to a crisp! Maybe I'll try again and give you my updated review.

Barbecued Beef

Well,I made this out of a sirloin steak and I didn't have liquid smoke (I thought I did!) and I used honey mustard but it turned out great! My son had three bowls!My dad had two and my mother had one so I'm lucky I got anything when I got home from work, Thanks for the recipe!

Creamy Chicken Salad

I was delighted by this recipe,I have whipping cream in my frig and I needed to use some of it and this intriged me,I made it a little differently,I didn't have tarragon so I used garlic powder and I put bacon bits in,no green onions and I really enjoyed it but the more I ate,the more I realized how sweet it is,you need something in there to counterbalance and I think I may try some guacamole tommorow for lunch. Couldn't hurt.

Honey Grilled Shrimp

The shrimp was good,anytime shrimp is grilled right is a good thing but I did not put on the honey mixture,I did put a little on one skewer one time but I really tasted it and ugh! I did NOT like that,the earlier marinade was okay but not the honey mixture!

The Old Boy's Strawberry Pie

Well,I haven't actually tried it yet,I'll be lucky if I get to,I made it for my dad today and my mom said,'It's good but sure is 'SWEET'! I can't say I blame her for the amount of sugar there is in the directions but there is only a little bit of slice of this 'old boy's pie' for me so you get the idea on this?

Sirloin Steak with Garlic Butter

This was good,I used a Eye of Round thin steak and I didn't put as much garlic cloves as suggessted so it wasn't a strong garlic taste. But it was still a good steak. Thanks.
