My name is Stacie,I'm a single mother with a very picky son but I do enjoy cooking and sometimes I find the thing he likes to eat. I'm 44 years old,yes,I waited a long time to get into cooking but I do enjoy it. I don't like it when somebody's looking over my shoulder watching me. Arrgh! I enjoy trying out new things. Today I made a Shepard's pie which was easy,I did a little bit of it the Rachel Ray way and a little of my own. My dad says 'Pretty good' A compliment! I don't know about favorite cooking traditions,my late grandmother and my mother got/get in a rut cooking things. My grandmother was cooking veggie soup,she made it so often that she made it one time in 4 days! My mother is getting that way with chili,chicken spaghetti so I'm trying not to be like that. My son is getting intrested in cooking ( like fried salads!) Fried green tomato sandwich and Red and green tomato soup off of this very site! Let's not go over that. hehe
