About this Cook
My name is Stacie,I'm a single mother with a very picky son but I do enjoy cooking and sometimes I find the thing he likes to eat. I'm 44 years old, yes,I waited a long time to get into cooking but I do enjoy it. I don't like it when somebody's looking over my shoulder watching me. Arrgh!
My favorite things to cook
I enjoy trying out new things. Today I made a Shepard's pie which was easy,I did a little bit of it the Rachel Ray way and a little of my own. My dad says 'Pretty good' A compliment!
My favorite family cooking traditions
I don't know about favorite cooking traditions,my late grandmother and my mother got/get in a rut cooking things. My grandmother was cooking veggie soup, she made it so often that she made it one time in 4 days! My mother is getting that way with chili, chicken spaghetti so I'm trying not to be like that. My son is getting intrested in cooking ( like fried salads!)
My cooking triumphs
Fried green tomato sandwich and Red and green tomato soup off of this very site!
My cooking tragedies
Let's not go over that. hehe

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough + Cupcake = The BEST Cupcake. Ever.
Oh,it was good but my dad said 'It was too much chocolate,it would have been better if she had done what I said' Whatever. It was a easy recipe,if I do it again,I'll make it different. Thanks for sharing lovetohost.

Garden Fresh Tomato Soup
I wouldn't say it's the best but it sure is good! only thing I added was mince garlic,(garlic goes with EVERYTHING) kinda reminded me of tomato gravy which I think I may turn the leftovers into. Good soup to make especially with the 'Darra's Famous Tuna Waldorf salad fixing's on this same site. Give it a try.

Darra's Famous Tuna Waldorf Salad Sandwich Filling
I only rated it a 4 because I didn't make it EXACTLY as written,I didn't have curry powder so I used some TOny's,I didn't have walnuts but I really didn't miss them with the apples,no celery but that's my preference and I didn't use croissants and oh yeah! I didn't use shallots, just plain old good onions and I didn't put it in a sandwich form, just got a fork and have at it! very good!
