Absolutley scrumptious! I had banana's on hand and this was a wonderful way to use them up. They were exceptional! I did add some allspice and cinn to the mix, I liked the extra flavor. They generously made 13 ( I was expecting 10 like the recipe says). The crumb topping made enough to generously coat each one. I dont know how you can fail with this one!!

I will never make a different recipe for pie crust. This has everything I love. The flakey-ness. The thickness, and It baked all the way through and it wasn't flimsy and break in areas where apple poke through. Will be making alot this year!!

Very good!! I was curious about putting that many blackberries as all the seeds tend to be a problem so I cut in half and for the extra I threw in some freshly cut strawberrys. I made and oatmeal struesel topping and I think thats what sealed the deal =) everyone loved it. Great recipe

I have tried about 3 or 4 buttercream recipes and ths is now the one I will turn to. I think the shortening is definitely whats lacking in the other recipes. This is the consistency I have been searching for and the right amount of butter for the amount of powdered sugar to make sure it isn't bone tingling sweet. 5 stars well deserved. A must if you're piping!

I am reviewing based on the recipe as written. everyone gave it all the stars after tweeking a little. Well As written it is actually quite good! I am only used to local Chinese restaurants to compare and its the only thing I order. This was pretty close but I dont think veg oil is the oil most places use. Overall pretty good! The closest to restaurant quality!

Oh. my. Goodness. I will never buy a boxed cake again. OMG!! If I could give this cake 20 stars I would. I didnt tweek a thing. Although, a little trick if you dont have buttermilk, use regular milk and add about 2 tblsp of either vinegar or lemon juice and let it set for 5 min. Wonderful cake had no problems with breaking. Love the chocolate that comes accross so richly and the cake is moist as can be. My new go to recipe!

I was expecting a chocolate lovers dream. Nope. My husband said it is the worst thing I ever made =( 2 stars for being easy!

Pretty good for being so quick and easy.. I read through all the changes.. and was discouraged as alot of people "HAD" to change and modify it to make it worth eating... WRONG... it was easy enough for my husband to quickly put it together despite my telling him to read through all the changes.. and you know what.. Keep it the way it is. Turned out great. Thanks!

I love lemon bars and this was my first attempt. This recipe had everything I anticipated. So easy, If I had known how easy this was I would have made dozens for people. Very nice! Wonderful texture. To not burn the bottom layer dont melt butter completely.. I also thought maybe a couple more minutes in the oven for the bottom layer. Great recipe everyone enjoyed them.For appearance I added 2 drops of yellow food coloring. No changes needed on this one. 5 stars well deserved. Thanks!

Pretty good! I think alot of it has to do with the iron you are using, I dont particularley like my waffle iron as I dont get the texture I am going for. But the waffle was very good. Im sure if I had the ideal waffle iron I would get the waffle house type of waffle that I am seeking, using this recipe

These are not the Best! but they are pretty good. I prefer a softer cookie myself, however my husband loved these! im hoping I can find a happy median. You can tell from the picture that the texture is a harder one. My family thought they were store bought and couldnt believe how nicely they looked. Pretty good so says the man of the house :) as for me... not bad, ALSO ABSOLUTELY NO NEED FOR THE OFFENSIVE BAKING POWDER!! DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND OMIT IT. TRUST ME! I have been baking cookies for years and couldnt bring myself to add it.

Can't give this recipe all 5 stars because I took the very much needed changes that everyone else has done. It turned out fabulou. I was very impressed. Its quite rewarding to create something better than what starbucks sells! There is quite a bit of topping so I do suggest taking half of it and putting it in the middle with the berries, and I dont like the idea of folding the berries into the batter as I was going for the starbucks look and they only have it in the middle and on the top under the struesel. Wonderful will make again!

No CHANGES NEEDED!!!!I am usually one to go through hundreds of reviews, this one I didnt even bother, and guess what. . . It deserves everyone of those stars! My husband is not a fan at all of peanut butter cookies... He even whined when he saw me making them. The end product.. He loved them. He said those are different than the ordinary and helped himself to seconds and thirds. What I like is you can make these into giant cookies as well, they flatten out evenly and I dont think you need to really flatten them yourself, just shape them well. I also tossed in some butterscotch chips. MMMMM!

I couldnt even get my four year old to eat them and she LOVES any cookie. My sister tried them and was very blunt. EW. disaster. Out of a family of 5 these pleased no one. They dont melt in your mouth, they are crumbly and feel as though you are chewing melting sand. Im sorry to be so blunt. Just embarrassed.

I was very very excited to surprise my husband with this. He likes sweets and loves when peanut butter is involved. Well, It was WAAYYY to rich. Very dense. I really wished the cream cheese came accross a little bit more. It seems as though the peanut butter dominated and the other flavors dont stand a chance. In reading other reviews I decided against using this recipe for making the crust and used a store bought one. If you dont have shortening while melting choc. chips chances are it will be lumpy and/ or burnt and crispy. I froze 2 peanut butter cups and chopped. I mean look at the picture, it presents BEAUTIFULLY and the idea is divine, but I ended up with a husband who didnt like it, a mother in law who was trying to tell me the good things about it and me who finally ate it and was getting an upset stomach myself. Im not giving up on this one.. Next time I will use 4 more ounces of cream cheese and maybe 1/2 cup less of peanut butter. Im torn on this one. EDIT: This tasted much better on the next day.

I was very pleased with this recipe. I expected more of the apple to "pop out" but I used two golden delicious so it made for just a very nice dence sweet bread. Next time I will use a granny smith in the mix. I didn't like the idea of apple chunks so I did grate the apple and let the juices fall into the batter. OMGosh the batter... I ate most of it before I could even put it in the pan! Next time I will make them into muffins. Very good as is!

I have made apple crisp a million times. I just threw out my old recipe.. This is perfection and I am a perfectionist. Oh sure a trillion people want to change the recipe to there liking, but to those of you who haven't tried this yet, make it the way it is. You can add your allspice or nutmeg, but that even might take away from its originality. I love the crumbley crisp part, so I double it. also I dont like alot of the syrup so I nix the water and sprinkle some vanilla. 5 stars well deserved here, this is now my regular sunday night all time favorite.

MARVELOUS!! This was an exceptional recipe! I made it twice in the last week. The first time I followed the recipe exactly. And it was a little too greasy/buttery for me. So then the next time around I nixed 1/2 cup of butter and added chocolate chips.. OMGosh! Wonderful, everyone loved it and it will make a great gift for the holidays.

Did I do something wrong?? Macaroon? WRONG, tastes nothing like macaroons, and It did not taste very well. I could hardly taste the coconut in the center. Maybe You should double the filling, to try and save it I used cream cheese frosting, and toasted coconut. Dont think I will make again.

Was this not soggy for anyone else? It presented beautifully, and looked amazing, but it was a tad on the soggy side after about an hour, if I decide to make this again, I will double the mix and pour extra over the top of the fruit. Needed some brown sugar I think to take away from the immense tartness of the fruits.
