I am very happy at the time in my life. I have a great husband, 6 great kids and 9 awesome grandkids. I love my family so very much. My favorite things to cook are pork and beef roasts. I usually put so many veggies in the roaster that we have to get a bigger roasting pan. My favorite family tradition is when I started having The Bennett Family Pumpkin Carving Day. We usually take the pumpkins from our garden and use them for the family pumpkin carving day. We usually have 12 people at this family tradition and everyone looks forward to this every year. One of my cooking triumphs was making sloppy joe the way my grandma did. I was only able to accomplish this once in my life. She has been gone for 30 years now and I know I learned alot from her. A pinch here and a pinch there. She was my cooking partner. One of my many cooking tragedies was putting peas on the stove and forgetting they were on. Boy do they burn... ALOT... lol
