I love canning and cooking. Have my own Farmer's Market Business called Pam's Jams where I sell jams (my four signature jams are Peppy Strawberry, Huckleberry Razzle, Blueberry Buckle & VeryBerry Delight) and relishes (Zucchini, Green Tomato and Red Pepper Jelly). I wrote and designed a family cookbook about 4 years ago and I think it's time for a rewrite soon. I'm also an avid quilter and love to go to quilt shows and shop hop. I love to take recipies from the Food Network and do them the first time the way they do on the shows - then adapt them to my own tastes and write them into my own "little black book".
My favorite things to cook
Lasagna, Huckleberry Cheesecake, Pulled Pork,Ommlettes, Seafood Stoup, Carrot Cake, Cinnamon Rolls, Potato Rolls and Buns, Sweet Potato Balls, Orange Chicken, Meatloaf, Pepper Steak, Clay Pot Ribs, Peanut Butter Pie, NO PEEK Roast for French Dip Sandwiches, Taco Soup, Bread Salad, Caramel Bread Pudding, and any Jams, Jellies and Relishes (I'll try anything when it comes to canning)
My favorite family cooking traditions
Sweet Potato Balls for XMAS and Thanksgiving; Waffles and homemade sausage with my Huckleberry or Blueberry syrup for XMAS Eve Dinner;
My cooking triumphs
Peanut Butter Pie, Chocolate Chiffon Pie for Thanksgiving, Pulled Pork for 40 at a campout, Pineapple Upside Down Cake as a Breakfast Coffee Cake at Campouts, Corn on the Cob with my Zucchinni Relish. My first attempt at my own recipe for Red Pepper Relish that started as an experiment with my cousin Shelly. The only kid who could make divinity in humid weather.
My cooking tragedies
Penuche everytime I change altitudes....... the first time I cooked a turkey, I didn't know there where the innards were that had to come out so he got cooked with them inside (in the bag); trying to get the recipe right for Dutch Oven Peach Cobbler at a campout
