I grew up in Grundy, Va. and moved to Bristol, Tn. almost 11 years ago. I work in health care and have a wonderful husband and beautiful little boy. Some of my favorite things to cook are Lemon chicken (in the slow cooker), Sweet potato casserole, Shrimp Scampi, Chocolate lava cakes. I like to cook just about anything. And I love to try new recipes. My favorite cooking traditions and memories are when I would make Christmas Cookies with my Grandma. I have always been in a kitchen either with my mom or one of my Grandma's. My cooking triumph was cooking an entire Thanksgiving dinner myself when I was 23. That was a big undertaking that turned out delish!! Last Thanksgiving I also made pumpkin pies from our Halloween pumpkins, and they were wonderful. Cornbread (until just recently) and I thought my gingerbread cookies this year were going to be a tragedy, but they turned out to be GREAT!!!
