I grew up in Grundy, Va. and moved to Bristol, Tn. almost 11 years ago. I work in health care and have a wonderful husband and beautiful little boy.
My favorite things to cook
Some of my favorite things to cook are Lemon chicken (in the slow cooker), Sweet potato casserole, Shrimp Scampi, Chocolate lava cakes. I like to cook just about anything. And I love to try new recipes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My favorite cooking traditions and memories are when I would make Christmas Cookies with my Grandma. I have always been in a kitchen either with my mom or one of my Grandma's.
My cooking triumphs
My cooking triumph was cooking an entire Thanksgiving dinner myself when I was 23. That was a big undertaking that turned out delish!! Last Thanksgiving I also made pumpkin pies from our Halloween pumpkins, and they were wonderful.
My cooking tragedies
Cornbread (until just recently) and I thought my gingerbread cookies this year were going to be a tragedy, but they turned out to be GREAT!!!
