I had to make three batches of this at Christmas! I didn't have the peppermint extract but it turned out fantastic without it. I didn't use dark chocolate to dip them in. I used white chocolate instead and sprinkled with the dusty part of the crushed peppermints. Fantastic. I will be making these for Valentine's!

I have never likes apple pie until I made this recipe! Outstanding. My entire family loves it. It is perfect for any time of year.
