Instead of placing the cooked bacon on top of the beans, i just stirred them in before baking and placed several slices of raw bacon on top of the beans before baking to get even more of that wonderful flavor soaked into the beans. I didnt use onions, but probably will next time. They were just wonderful, easy to make and a huge, huge hit with people of all ages.

I made this for a family reunion and used cinnamon bread (my sister hates raisins:)). I added 2 eggs to the recipe and it set very well. Texture was great and the kids loved it - as did the adults - it is rich so if i make it again i will cut down on the cream cheeses. I used fat free half and half which worked beautifully.

This was a very easy and quick recipe. I threw in some snow peas which worked very well. Will absolutley be making this regularly
