Originally I am from Houma, LA. I graduated in 1971. Married in 1973. Widowed in 2002. I have 3 children. My first child Geoffrey(32)is married to Randi(32). My second child, Brian(26), died in 2006. My third child Kristin(28) is single. I love to do things for other people. I like reading. But I like to cook, trying new recipes and definitely using the old ones. I like cajun foods, mostly. But I also like the Southern style of cooking. I love baking (cakes, cookies, rolls). I like preparing soups, gumbos, stews. I guess my most favorite dish to prepare, cook, is the one that the person I am cooking for wants. Hams at Christmas. Turkeys at Thanksgiving. Pies and all the trimmings. Green bean casserole. Dressings. All of it. Pound cakes. Ice box fruit cakes. Turkey soup. Seafood Gumbo. Crab salad. Chocolate Pie - messed it up one year really bad.
