Brooklyn Girl's Penne Arrabiata

This is off the hook insanely good! The only thing I did differently is I am vegetarian so I bought Morning Star frozen chicken strips and breaded and fried those instead of the real mc coy! Everyone loved it! This recipe is a DEFINITE keeper!

Avocado, Tomato and Mango Salsa

This is pretty good. I am a fan of salsa w/o mango I have decided. And I LOVE mangos! Just not so much in salsa. It is fun to serve something with a twist though

French Spring Soup

This was great! Love it for anytime but it is a GREAT spring soup. It is awesome exactly as the recipe instructs it to be made. I substituted vegetarian chicken broth. Other then the vegitarian substitution the first time I made it I thought I had heavy cream in the house but when it came time to add it I found out I did not, so I substituted Cream Cheese (the 1/3 less fat kind). It was very good that way. My husband said he liked it even more when he found out it was low in fat. The way with the cream is also delicious.

Vegetarian Tortilla Stew

This was incredible. Everyone who ate it wanted more! I added some refried beans to the mix too. I have been looking for a vegetarian version of this soup that rocks and this is it! Enjoy.

Spinach and Strawberry Salad

My husband thought I was insane making this he was sure he wouldn't like it! He loved it! Everyone I have ever served this too LOVES it. I like the addition of Avocado and use balsamic vinegar in place of the regular kind.

Fried Green Tomato Sandwich

Its ok. I am looking for different ways to make fried green tomato's. I thought this looked neat but I liked the red tomato's in the sandwich a whole bunch and was disappointed with the green ones. Sand-which is great with just red tomato's. Fried green tomato's better alone then in the sandwich.

Middle Eastern Pasta With Yogurt and Pine Nuts

I was disappointed. Sounded great made it for a friend who loves this kind of cuisine. It was ok.... Very bland. Maybe ok as small side dish, but definitely not main dish. Not worth keeping the recipe or making again.

Chantal's New York Cheesecake

Incredible! Only problem was my little son (9 yrs old) found it before served and helped him self out of the middle! AHHH, after being scolded he couldn't help him self and went back! Cake was pretty much destroyed but we sampled edges of it. I was sorry he got in trouble but could understand his temptation! It was great can't wait to make it again.

Dandelion Salad

Thought it was great! Made it just as recomended. But the mangos and pine nuts with gorgonzola sound great! I will try that next time. Never have liked dandelion's before but made sure I picked only the very young tender ones. They were not bitter at all, whole family liked it and could not believe it was dandelions. We will definitely make it again.

Very good, I also added green unopened orange day lily's very nice. They taste like a cross between asparagus and green-beans. Was kinda fun since they are growing everywhere.

Mediterranean Pasta with Greens

We made a lot of changes but it was a absolute hit with family and company! Sauteed 1 head of diced fresh garlic and added fresh mushrooms then a pound of diced tomatoes to it. Was fabulous! Would give five stars just changed it quite a bit!
