Beef Sirloin Tip Roast
This is a great recipe. Great comfort food and the gravy is lovely for flavour and thickness. Instead of the onion soup mix, I used the Onion Roasted Garlic powdered soup mix instead and it worked out well. I also cooked the beef at 325 for 2 hours and it came out of the oven at that time very slightly pink in the centre, but nice and tender. Thanks for this recipe.

Basic British Scones
This recipe is a keeper for me! After years of attempting to make scones and failing miserably because they didn't rise or were too dry and bland, I've finally found a great British scone recipe! Being from England, I was always striving to find that perfect scone texture, moisture, and rising factor. Now I need to look no more! I added some sultana raisins to the mix and had to bake them a couple of minutes longer than stated on the recipe probably due to the high altitude where I live. I added milk chocolate chips for the batch I made for the kids and they loved them. I like to plonk on some strawberry jam and cream and they are simply divine. Even my hubby is amazed that I've finally made some scones that rise and don't resemble cookies in appearance! I must confess I've just finished gobbling one up for my breakfast! Thanks for the recipe Angela!!

Spicy Beef Curry Stew for the Slow Cooker
I tried this recipe as I had some stewing beef and hadn't used my crock pot for a while. It is a nice twist from the usual curry recipes I've made. The meat was very tender and flavourful and I decided to add some potatoes to go along with the 'stew' theme and found they complimented the recipe well. I served it over some rice and it made a good hearty meal for the family! Good recipe!
