About this Cook
My heritage is Mexican, Italian, Scottish, and Czech. I love carbs, vegetables, and a good medium-rare steak. I think variety in cooking is important and I am currently trying to make my own collection of fabulous recipes that I can share when I have my own family someday.
My favorite things to cook
Spagetti!!!
My favorite family cooking traditions
My dad grew up with spagetti every Sunday since his mother is Italian(my mom however, doesn't love pasta as much as the rest of us), but when we're lucky (and on all special occasions) my dad still makes the old family recipe which to this day is probably my favorite thing.
My cooking triumphs
I think the best thing I've made so far is a lowfat Mexican Chicken Stew recipe that I found and altered. Yum!

Honey Baked Chicken II
This was pretty sweet, not my favorite. But the recipe was alright.

Potato Curry
This dish was okay, it had tons of seasoning but still came off as bland. This looked very similar to a favorite dish of mine except the dish I've had used tomatoes in the sauce. I added some diced tomatoes and garbanzo beans and it helped, but I think this dish still needs some tweaking.

General Tsao's Chicken
This was good but breading all the chicken was a pain. Made this for the boyfriend since it is his favorite Chinese food, it wasn't like the restaurant's but he enjoyed it anyways.
