Enjoy being around my family and friends and just hanging out. Like to take life as it comes and live very stress free. Am of Scotish desent and have many traits of the Scots. My friends call me the frugal Queen. Comfort food. We have many cold months so I fix a great deal of homemade stews, and soups homemade bread & biscuits. WE love Thanksgiving. We always have it in our home, With all the more traditional foods but each year I do something special for the appetizers. Started making soup & sandwich lunches at our church and before long I had requests to purchase the soup by the quart and half gallon. It grew from about feeding 75 people to closer to 200. It made me feel good that they enjoyed it so much. When I was first married, I barely knew how to cook, I was a stranger to most vegetables, my husband ( who came from a farm where everything was homemade) asked me to make some breaded fried zucchin, I asked him what it looked like and he said long skinny green with smooth skin, unfortunately for him so is an English cucumber and I fried that up thinking it was a zucchini.
