I'm a 26 y.o. newlywed in the Redlands, CA area. Currently, I'm studying Pharmaceuticals and am externing at a compounding pharmacy in Ontario. I love to cook, which is why I think I also love pharmacy compounding! My cute husband is from Lima, Peru and so cooking in this house is ALWAYS an adventure!
My favorite things to cook
Peruvian chinese food (yes, it DOES exist!)Pollo Saltado, yucca mmmm q rico; breads, pastries; Italian; cookies,all kinds; German sometimes; Mediterranean, <3 Greek food! yummy Dalmades!; BBQ, w/ my homemade sauces; Mexican food; Caribbean- jerk chicken, black beans & rice with fried Plantains and inventing things.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Thanksgiving... my family's stuffing, green bean casserole, always south american food in this house... Baked Mac N Cheese homemade of course. Cinnamon rolls, Grandma's Rhubarb Strawberry Pie. We have three traditions in this family- New England part, Southern and South American- Peruano
My cooking triumphs
I have lots of triumphs... my Pork Loin with cherry sauce was a HUGE success. Homemade NE clam chowder I made last Christmas. Good cookies, Good Peruvian food. Perfect candied apples for my Autumn party...
My cooking tragedies
ha ha ha... burning things... the caramel that I leave alone. My meringue cookies that wouldn't peak after I added sugar but were STILL sooo DELICIOUS. My cranberry jello salad I left in the freezer last year that turned into a red fruit rock. and on and on and on.
