I have lived in Louisiana for 15 years now. This state has great history & fantastic food. I am still learning how to cook this cajun cuisine...but being from Texas, I can't help but cook Tex-mex & southern style food. A real change for my yankee husband! Anything mexican & baked goods! Breakfast tacos on weekends, smoked turkey on Thanksgiving, seafood Christmas eve, Christmas cookies with the kids in December. Mastering Spanish rice & adapting some recipes for my bread machine. I recently have tried my hand at making homemade jalepano relish- wow is it fantastic! Nothing specific- only sometimes my food is too spicey...for some!
