I am married for 40 + years, mother of six and am a professional truck driver I like fast things and things that don't require a lot of preparation or a lot of ingredients. I love doing desserts and also rolls and casseroles which I can freeze and use when we are home so I am not cooking all the time. We usually have swiss steak for family dinners, lots of mashed potatoes and gravy and always desserts that are made from scratch. I don't like using cake mixes or for matter mixes of anykind but sometimes that is all I have time to prepare I would say cooking for funerals at our churches and also being able to feed about any type of people and have them leave my kitchen satisfied. Having my daughters turn into the good cooks they are and so willing to try new things. They have indeed learned well and are much better cooks than I was at their age. Burning my very first meal as a bride and then having my husband tell my father who knew I was used to cooking that I had burned our first dinner (what he failed to tell him was we were talking about our wedding and I forgot to watch the pots.)
