My name is Melinda, I have 3 beautiful children, a great husband, 2 dogs and 2 ferrets. I enjoy cooking, and experimenting with new ingredients. I love Thanksgiving, and it is my favorite meal to make. Im also into making ethinic dishes such as indian foods, my husband seems to really enjoy them, and they are fun to experement with. Most of my cooking training and recipes come from my mom. I make mostly what could be termed, home made comfort foods. A lot of stews, and stuff like that. Anytime I make something my husband enjoys, it is a triumph. He is a very picky eater, and was raised in the south while I was raised in the north... we definitly have different views and opinions on what is good food. I once tried to make chicken and dumplings in my crock pot. It was HORRIBLE! The dumplings never formed, and it turned into more of a raw tasting pot pie.
