I have a wonderful husband who enjoys his food, a teenage daughter who doesn't so much. I am a small animal veterinarian, enjoy gardening and making a welcoming home for my family. Love baking - pies, cakes, cookies, special desserts. Not so great in the art of decorating the masterpieces, but that's ok. Comfort food. Holidays, baking. Never liked food too much as a kid - I was a very picky stick figured child. My apple crumb pie and peach pies, fruit crisps, bavarian apple torte, over the top decadent chocolate cake. Soups, stews, comfort foods. My DD loves homemade mac and cheese, chicken nuggets, ham dinners and casseroles. The oven in our house is very strange, and someday must be replaced, so cooking a nice roast, everything is ready - but the meat takes like an extra 45 minutes. Once DH decided to finish the roast on the grill - ended up with charred outside, undercooked inside. So he went out and got a rotisserie chicken from the groc store.
