About this Cook
I'm a senior in college who just found out that I might be good at applying heat to food.
My favorite things to cook
I love Italian and Chinese food! My best dishes so far are probably chicken parmigiana and orange chicken. Most of my dishes involve beef or chicken breasts
My favorite family cooking traditions
Thanksgiving at home--there's nothing like it.
My cooking triumphs
Cooking for more people than just myself for the first time--I made chicken parm for 12 people and they all loved it!
My cooking tragedies
Some oddities have happened, but no outright disasters...not yet anyway :-)

Basil Burgers
A great twist on regular boring burgers. I followed some other user suggestions: 1) I used about 1/4 cup of fresh basil instead of dried, 2) I added in about 1/3 cup or so of minced onion, and 3) I topped them with tomato, then mozzarella on top and let it melt for a minute or so. I also served it on the side with pasta mixed with sauteed spinach. Very delicious, and I'll certainly try this again!
