Pecan Pie V

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2008
Delicious...a great and nutty pie without all the ooey, gooeyness! I increased the filling ingredients by 1/2 because I had a deep dish and it helped bring the filling level up more appropriately. Everyone raved about this pecan pie. I also decreased the white sugar amount (and will probably leave out next time) by 1/2 and kept the brown sugar the same, and it was really plenty sweet. With diabetics in attendance, I was happy to offer this as an option to all of the other traditional holiday treats. Thanks for the great recipe- I will definitely bake this again!!

Taco Soup II

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2008
Rated 4 stars because the recipe need MUCH more water (at least 3 cups) to reduce thickness, and it was still very hearty. I also added a small can of tomato paste, but I think I may add even more stewed tomatoes. Very tasty, I used shredded cheese and Baked Doritos as a topping. Had enough for 2 meals, 2 lunches and lots to give to a neighbor.

Grandmas Cowboy Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2008
A fantastic cookie! Cut white sugar down by 1/3 and chocolate chips by 1/2, and it's plenty sweet. Subbed shortening for butter. Didn't use nuts, but what a GREAT cookie!
