About this Cook
I'm a college graduate that is getting married June 2009. I'm currently working while my fiancé finishes his last year. I enjoying cooking and baking in my free time, and I typically test all my new foods on our gamer group. They're honest and help me improve my recipes to make them all-around favorites.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mother is Iranian and I grew up on platters of rice and kabob. I have yet to be able to cook Middle Eastern food like my mom, but I'm working on it. Andrew's family, though American, mostly makes great all-around favorites with their own twist. They have ribs for Thanksgiving, Indian for Christmas, and so many yummy soups and sandwiches whenever I go over. I'm learning the soup business from my MIL.

Bryan's Sweet and Hot Tomato Pasta Sauce
The spices were overwhelmed by the tomatoes. I'm also a big fan of chunkier, bolognese sauces for my pasta.

Buttercream Icing
I use butter instead of the shortening for a better taste. Used this recipe in a decorating class to exhibit mechanical icing bags. Held up well and tasted delicious afterwards.

Classic Lasagna
Fantastic recipe! I use Italian sausage from the market as to make it extra spicy and I use 2 tbsps. of Kirkland's Tuscany spice blend instead of what the recipe calls for. Everyone loves it. Definitely worth the prep time. I make it for me and my husband, and just freeze the rest for leftovers later.
