I work full-time and travel the US quite a bit... I cook on a down-draft Jen-Aire dual fuel with grill and convection. I also can't live without the Reynolds vacuum bags so I can ship baked goods all over the country!
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake cookies and breads. Not a cake girl, though I will do a carrot cake. I've been perfecting biscotti and more difficult cookies. I have no husband or kids to eat my baking, but am fortunate to have many frends willing to take on the task!
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom can make Stove Top and forget the seasoning package- and claim it's "just fine":) My dad is a master of chili. Fortunately, I was blessed with a Grandma who was a really good cook- we're still trying to figure out what made her chocolate chip cookies so good!
My cooking triumphs
Rugelach and biscotti- I finally figured out I was over-beating the rugelach dough. It surprised me last year that of all the holiday cookies, the rugeach was the biggest hit, followed by the biscotti. I had to make more batched and ship out based on popular demand! I also make a mean turkey meatloaf, and my dogs love my doggie cookies.
My cooking tragedies
Ribs- I just can't figure them out. Thankfully, I live in St. Louis where the options for good ones are plentiful.
