About this Cook
I don't remember why I wanted to start cooking, even though it has only been a year, but i've just always interested in the culinary arts. My mom supported me through it and always gave me feedback on my cooking. One day i do plan on going to a culinary college to get a degree so i can become a chef or maybe open a casual gormet Itlian Resturaunt.
My favorite things to cook
I'm always experimenting and since I can't afford as much wine, olive oil, or getting the ingridents that you can't find anywhere else but specialty shops for Itlian gourmet, I can't really take chances with creating my own recipes or make them all the time. So even though i love to make things like you find in a top notch itlian resturaunt like Romano and risotto, I have to make cheaper meals, like grilled chicken, grilled ribs and grilled burgers which so happens to be my famly's favorite meals, i dont see why they love grilling so much but it's still fun.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Unfortunatley my favorite traditional meal is something i don't make, it's just always been up to my dad to deep fry the turkey, but thats ok beacaue he coached me through it once and it just feels like a job rather than cooking.
My cooking triumphs
I don't really have a story that sticks out in eathier my triumphs or tragidies, but i'm sure they will happen soon.
My cooking tragedies
it will come one day

Misti's Chicken Marinade
It isn't the best marinade but it is good, but to those people who said it was to bland like roybird, probably didn't whisk it well enough which is a very labor intensive thing to do, i finally gave up doing it manually when my arm was getting tired. I din't want all the vegatable oil it takes to make this recipe go to waste so i used a whisk attachment on an egg beater and even that took a while to get all of the seasoning mixed in with evrything. It still had a better taste to it rather than a store bought marinade. It's probably better than what i tasted anyways because i din't have molasses and i dint have any great substitute for molasses like honey and syrup, so i just used boiled sugar water instead.
