I am the mother of two beautiful daughters, ages 17 and 14 months. Our family recently moved to South Carolina and love it, although we miss being surrounded by the beautiful mountains. I gladly left the employment world a couple of years ago and I am enjoying every second I get to spend with my family. My favorite things to cook are pies, especially cherry, and desserts. I enjoy making things that I create myself and I like to add my own special touch to ordinary, everyday dishes. Every year my mother and I bake Christmas cookies, candies, cakes, etc... In early December we start choosing which items to make and start stocking up on ingredients. Then a couple of days before Christmas we get together in her kitchen or mine and make all kinds of delicious treats that we package up and give as gifts to friends and neighbors. Mastering the art of biscuit gravy. Not only that but my gravy is awesome! Falling down the staircase early one morning, half asleep, on my way to check on the thanksgiving turkey! I had carpet burn on my left shin from knee to ankle. At least the turkey truned out great!
