I am married to a wonderful man. We have 3 kids between us: 14, 18, and 9; and we also have 2 Chihuahuas: Jelly and Peanut Butter. So I guess you could say we have 5 kids. Cookies, Cakes, Casseroles, Steak, Soups, and Deviled Eggs My mom is the one that taught me everything I know, especially how to cook. I know that I was about 10 or so, that she always let me help her cook the night before Thanksgiving and Christmas. Our menu was Oyster Dressing, Pumpkin Pies, Homemade Mashed Potatoes, Turkey of course, and other desserts. I left out deviled eggs. We never measured anything, it was just a little bit of this and a little bit of that. So now that im older I try to make Mom proud and try a little cooking on my own, and help her as well. Still to this day I catch myself doing the little bit of this and a little bit of that, even if I have the recipe. I tried to make Pecan Clouds. The first mistake I made was beating the egg whites to long. It was supposed to be like whipped with soft peaks and of course I could not get the egg whites to do anything, and I was so disappointed.
