I am a 60-year-old going on 40. Married to a wonderful man for 30+ years who also enjoys cooking - it's our hobby together. He's actually a better cook and not afraid to add herbs and spices. I love the challenge of a fancy dessert, not so much decorating but turning out a tasty, beautiful looking dessert. Being Maltese, my family pretty much enjoys Italian and Mediterranean style, as they are both close, as well as Mideastern. My triumph is mastering baking, which I did not start out liking very much, since you have to be so precise with measurements, and delicate with assembling it, etc.; but, now I actually enjoy baking more so than cooking. In the earlier days of my cooking career, I decided to make Roast Duck. I originally invited my parents, then ended up inviting two more guests, which ended up totalling about 6, and I roasted ONE duck. We all had a very small bite.
