I am a mother of 5 girls ages 13-19. Former nurse, now I cook at a steakhouse and love it! Have a huge garden every year, and can like crazy. Love bird watching and my dog, Murphy a 6 yr old rat terrier.
My favorite things to cook
soups, grilling anything, pasta dishes, homemade mac n cheese and scalloped potatoes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Smoked turkey for Thanksgiving and a slow cooked brisket for summer BBQ's.
My cooking triumphs
Pretty sure I have mastered enchiladas, and make a mean Chicken Piccata/Pomodoro.
My cooking tragedies
My 1st from scratch pumpkin pie, I forgot the eggs, then #2 I forgot the sugar, and by the 3rd pie I was so frustrated my crust was tough! Yikes!
