Cinnamon Coffee Cake II

I made this Christmas morning. We are on the 3rd day eating it here and I just served it to guests and had raves for how moist it was! It's very good. I added pecans instead of walnuts, pecans make everything better :)

Crustless Cranberry Pie

Very good! I made it exactly as directed it was very tart but very tasty. I think I might decrease the Almond to 1/2 tsp. I love almond so it was good for me but a bit much for others. I doubled the recipe and used two round cake pans since I read other reviews that it was more cake like, perfect.

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffins

I tripled the recipe (using the allrecipe function) they were VERY dry compared to the pumpkin recipes I am used to. For the last batch I added 1/4 c. of applesauce trying to salvage them and they turned out better.

Cowboy Oatmeal Cookies

Delicious! These are wonderful, everyone loved them and we ate so much as they were coming out of the oven I decided to freeze the rest of the batter to save us from ourselves. I added chopped pecans to a batch and those were to die for!

White Chili I

Very good, we all loved it. I did end up adding and additional can of beans and smashed some to thicken up the broth a bit. It was too soupy for us otherwise. But the flavor is great! We didn't even top it, to make it healthier, and it's perfect.

Hash Brown Casserole for the Slow Cooker

We didn't enjoy this at all. The onion was crunchy even after 4 hours in the crockpot and it was all REALLY dry. The only chage I made at first was using real cheese instead of processed. In an attempt to make it better after cooking I added some milk and a cup of cream cheese. That was better but still not great or even really good.

Microwave Mochi

Cook in increments of two mintues and turn it each time or you will get hard mochi on the edges. Hard mochi=not tasty

Squash Braid

This is so yummy. My kids devoured it, the entire loaf didn't last even an hour and we had already eaten dinner. I followed the recipe almost exactly, I did add a bit of extra flour as I was kneading it because it was a bit sticky but that is the only change I made. I can't wait to make this for the holidays.

Cream of Spinach Soup

very good, I used fresh spinach and 1 cup half and half in place of one cup milk to make it a bit creamier. I also added cooked chicken at the end. It was wonderful.

Sweet Irish Bread

This is an awsome breakfast loaf. I used nonfat plain yogurt instead of sour cream and 1/2 cranberries and 1/2 rasins. The results are awsome,I can't wait to toast it because the crispy outer layers of the bread are soooo yummy.

Absolutely Excellent Oatmeal Cookies

I mistakenly used this recipe thinking it was one I tried a couple weeks ago... I omitted the walnuts and chocolate chips, but the cookies were very cake like. If I were trying to make breakfast cookies they would have been good though ;-)

Simple Beef Stroganoff

I liked this recipe, I don't think I would ever make stroganoff the traditional way as I like ease.... I did as other readers suggested and added 1/2 packet of dry hidden valley ranch...it tasted really good, but was pretty dry even when I added an extra 1/2 cup of milk. It might have been the ranch that dried it out, hard to tell, I will be trying it again without the ranch.
