Danish Pastry
I feel bad that I haven't tried this yet. This is my first review ever!! I was so (I don't know the word) that I just had to put my 2-cents worth in. First of all, I have only made Danish Pastry once when I was a young girl. It took many hours and I had to stop before I had a chance to make the pastries. I agree with the review to make the dough the day before. I have told people for years that making pastries is a 2 day job because it is so tiring. I also REALLY liked the idea of rolling out the butter, putting on fridge, layering the dough/butter and THEN folding and rolling. I belive this will make it a little easier to make. This is a difficult time-consuming recipe, but if you love to bake and like things made by hand(scratch) I assure you that it will be worth the trouble. The recipe that I used years ago was great and I felt proud of a job well done. Thank you for your submission of this recipe. I am planning on trying it this Christmas and will let you know about the taste and texture. THANKS again...Liz
