Growing up in Seattle, my grandmother owned two restaurants; Skipper's Grotto at the dock on Lake Union (Boat Street) and Her Place, a little mom and pop restaurant that used to be on Greenwood Avenue. As a youngster, I would help out on Saturday (peeling potatoes, washing pots, sweeping floors and watching my grandma cook and work the grill.) As I got older, grandma taught me many marketable skills and by age 24, I was a restaurant manager. I left the industry for many years to persue a degree and career in accounting, but that wasn't my 'cup of tea'. In 2006 I graduated from the Le Cordon Bleu Institute at Scottsdale Culinary and currently have a successful Personal Chef Business. www.mealsinmotion.net
