I'm just a southern gal, trying to learn to cook like it. I love to scrapbook, make jewelry, read, watch movies, etc. I love spending time with my family and friends. Well, as of right now, I love love LOVE making my grandma's macaroni and my mom's sweet potato casserole. These recipes will be passed down for generations! Other than that, I don't know!! I've never really made anything else. At least from scratch! Obviously the macaroni and sweet potato casserole. We have those for pretty much every family gathering. At least the macaroni. We have the same menu for Thanksgiving and Christmas every year, and those are like the main dishes! I made Chocolate Lover's Sugar Cookies this past weekend. I have NEVER made cookies like that, and they turned out AMAZING! It took 5 hours to do it, but it was well worth it! So proud!! Well, let's see. When I was about 16, I tried to bake cookies. You know, the place and bake kind. I burned them. I'm talking smoke billowing from the oven. But I was not at my house, and I was using an electric stove, when I was used to gas. Not so great.
