My first career (1972-1985) was as a Home Economics teacher in Mt. Olive Twp., NJ. I taught Sewing, Family Living and Cooking along with all the other things that Home Ec. teachers get called upon to "teach." I left teaching and became a Real Estate Broker/Sales Associate in 1986 and have been a Full time professional ever since.
My favorite things to cook
I love to period. I especially like to create dishes based upon available foods in the house at any given time.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Pasta, grilling...I use the outdoor grill year round.
My cooking triumphs
Making my first Pie crust in front of a cooking class my first year as a teacher. It actually came out well!
My cooking tragedies
Making turkey soup from the turkey carcass; after simmering all day, I drained the soup...but forgot to put a pot under the strainer. It all went down the drain!
