I have always enjoyed cooking. If I can see it and smell it I can cook it. My Mother always said give Dora 2 hours and she can put a feast on for a hundred people. All those around me love when I cook and love sharing anything and everything I make,,,,and guess what I love it.
My favorite things to cook
Old shared family things like hungarian turkey dressing, stuffed shells, pizelle on the family iron, cannoli cake, family spaghetti sauce with spinach meatballs-a pork chop or two-wingettes-italian sausage-and pepperoni.A great burger. Delicious soups.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Crown Prime Rib,Stuffed shells(with mashed spinach meatballs, remember to soak the bread in milk, it makes them tender, fresh mushrooms,asiago/fresh grated provolone and Mozzerella cheese) Homemade cannoli, fresh greenbeans cooked with salt pork and new potatoes with just a tad of butter, my Grandma always said. And don't forget the pepperoni rolls, with REAL butter. Finished with the old family Cheesecake.Yum
My cooking triumphs
I have done lots and lots of wedding food.... My staff and I once fed 540 people in 20 minutes. This included BarBQued Ribs cooked over an open fire that were ushered in on full trays stacked high with the wonderful aroma of sweet tangy BBQ sauce. Very impressive I must say. With so many entrees. Talk about fun and productive. Yes!!
My cooking tragedies
Desserts,,,,, except cannoli cake, pizzelle, and Cheesecake. Everything burns or gets hard or something goes wrong... I have been told I should start an ugly birthday cake company. I have make some real winners.
