Tho' separated, I love time with my kids and cooking for them (of course). I also like seeing all the new things in Las Vegas, where I live, music and movies (who doesn't? ), meeting new people (a priority since the separation), and last but not least, time with my dog.

My favorite things to cook

Ooh, wow, this is a tough one...there's so many! I think my favorites are my Maple Chicken and Chicken Parmesan recipes. Oh, though I love making holiday treats and I try new ones any time one strikes my fancy.

Bev's Orange Chicken

This was not orange chicken the way I'm used to it or expected it, but it was a good chicken dish. I would recommend it if you want to try something new, but I don't think its going to replace your favorite chicken recipe. But for a change and something a little different, its worth the effort.

Slow Cooker Sweet and Tangy Chicken

SAVE the sauce!!! We had leftovers and while the chicken was not dry when reheated, having the extra sauce and putting it over rice was a GREAT (and low effort) second meal! Also, your choice of BBQ sauce is key. I used a honey BBQ sauce which was good, but I think you'll want to find something with a relatively milder taste as its easy for "bolder" tasting sauces to overpower the pineapple and dominate the flavor of the chicken. So choose wisely, but this is a recipe SURE to delight!

Beef Teriyaki

I found this had excellent flavor, though I did add a dash more soy sauce and I seasned the grilling beef with kosher salt as in my experience letting thin slices of meat boil away on its own results with an odd taste that never gives way to the sauce. In this case, however, the kosher salt and the extra bit of soy sauce and this was one OUTSTANDING dish!
