Mexican Brownies
WOW, these were good brownies! I made some with and some without cayenne pepper, and I must say that while I was surprised to find that I did like the ones with pepper (they weren't too spicy or anything), I preferred them without. But regardless - the texture is phenomenal! I love a dense fudgy brownie, and these totally are. Moist, rich, and soooo good. I lightened the recipe a bit to suit my own dietary needs by substituting applesauce for half the butter and using part Splenda for some of the sugar, and it still turned out beautifully. I've only ever made brownies from a box mix before; I had no idea what I was missing! Thanks for the recipe!

Amber's Sesame Chicken
I lightened this recipe to suit my dietary needs, but the spirit of the recipe stayed the same and I thought it was delicious! I skipped the flour and the vegetable oil in favor of simply sauteeing the veggies and chunks of chicken in a pan lightly sprayed with PAM. I also used considerably less sesame seeds. Otherwise, I used all the remaining ingredients in the full amounts. For the teriyaki sauce, I used Soy Vay Veri Veri Teriyaki sauce (it has the least amount of sodium of any store bought teriyaki sauce I can find)...it turned out wonderful! Sweet, spicy, quick, and easy - I will definitely make this again!

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople
Easy and delicious. I only had room for 6 medium/large apples, so I decreased the sugar very slightly, and it was still VERY sweet. I don't know how other reviewers thought it needed more sugar. I added a tsp of cinnamon to the syrup, and next time I will add more. I also poured most of the syrup on top of the apples before adding the crust, and only poured a little bit on top of my lattice. This pie recipe worked beautifully with the whole wheat pie crust I made.
