I love cooking and baking and find it very relaxing (much cheaper and more useful than yoga and the like).As I have lived most of my adult life in communities with special needs people cooking & baking was one of my responsibilities. So food needed to taste & look good! So I learned, as they say, on the job.
My favorite things to cook
As I have lived in a few countries and when I was a student with many nationalities I love all sorts of food and always enjoy getting new recipes to try out! My children (2 now grown-up and left home, 2 teenage boys still at home)specially like me to cook indien for them. I am baking bread professional and it is well liked!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Still love makig Dampfnudeln (kind of yeast buns cooked in the oven in a tray with milk) from my grannies recipe! Otherwise I do a bit of this & that!
My cooking triumphs
I love experimenting with bread recipes to get a variety of breads that taste like the ones that I miss from growing up in germany.Getting feed back from people here,who love these breads as much as my family does, makes my day!
My cooking tragedies
Occasionaly when a bread goes wrong, e.g. ends up like a brick, or gets burned to cinders in the Aga...that is kind of sad for me. Now that I bake in an electric oven this happyly does not happen anymore!

French Breakfast Muffins
These where so fast to make, use ingredients I have always on hand and with the cinnamon/sugar topping we all loved them. They will be a regular from now on! Thanks

Michael's Chicken
I followed some reviewers tips and used only 1/2 the vinegar. With this change we all loved this dish and will make it again and again!
