Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2011
I used a smaller piece of meet and cooked it on low for about five hours. I took others advice and coated it with flower, seasoned it with garlic salt and rosemary and than seared all sides in butter. I followed the rest of the directions exactly. The aroma throughout the house was superb. I had taken someone's advice and used a Tri Tip roast. My husband did not care for it. He did however, love the flavor and the gravy. Thus, with a standard roast, I think this recipe rates very high. I would caution, however, if you opt for a smaller cut of meat, keep an eye on the time. Two to three hours on low would have been fine for a 2.5 roast.

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2011
I appreciate that you need to use a high quality BBQ sauce. And perhaps that is where I went wrong - in that the brand and flavor was off. However, I found the combination of BBQ sauce and italian dressing to be conceptually strange- and in the end, not tasty. UPDATE: My husband who loved BBQ, ate it and said it was fine. I added a few stars.

Ramen Coleslaw

This lacked flavor and was even unpleasing to the eye. Given how much everyone likes it, I can only assume I did something wrong, however, I followed the ingedients exactly. Would never make again.

Shrimp Stir-Fry

The sauce was good. Like others, I doubled it and added additional soy and ginger. Also, you can add all sorts of vegetables such as mushrooms, water chestnuts, bamboo, bean sprouts. Very filling and really no need for rice!

I have made this bean salad for years. It is delicious. Really no need to adjust for anything [unless you are not a cilantro fan - which I am not!].

Very good. I took another reviewers advice and basted them with Texas Pete's hot sauce and let them cook another minute. Would be perfect in a buffalo chicken salad!!!

Wisconsin Five-Cheese Bake

Nothing makes me happier than to see my son go for second helpings!!! This was great. I did not have provolone, so I used chedder. And I did not have ricotta. I also added bread crumbs to the top as reccomended by another reviewer and broiled for the last five minutes. That was key - it does taste like cheesy bread. Would make again!

I made this as directed - and added a little chedder cheese as other reviewers had suggested. It was good. Although, tasted a little bit like a fancy hamburger helper...which might have been a bit easier ;-)

Baked Haddock

A week ago, I purchased Haddock and came close to throwing it out today. Instead, my husband and I decided to cook it up. I found this recipe and within 20 minutes my husband and I were gobbbling up this tremendous dish. His quote... "this was probably the best fish I have ever ate." I did not change a thing! Enjoy!

I have made this three times now and just love it. My husband, who is not a tilapia fan, said tonight..."that I like!" So easy. I let it marinate over night. Takes just minutes to prepare.

Chicken Noodle Casserole I

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2008
If you are a busy parent and want to make a yummy meal for a fussy child, this is an easy recipe. My son quickly picked up on the cream of mushroom soup. The next time I made it I used two cans of cream of chicke, added celery salt, onion powder and poultry seasoning. The buttered ritz crackers on top are a big hit.
