Baked Potato Soup
Eating this right now--delicious!! It's my first time making potato soup, or any creamy soup for that matter! I was nervous... but this recipe was really easy and forgiving, and the taste is great! Per other reviewers suggestions: I did add 1.5c cheese to the soup (I like cheesy soup!) and I did go a little easy on the basil. I did end up mashing the potatoes just a little bit to make the soup thicker, as I like thicker cream soups. Next time I think I will add more flour in the beginning, because I'd like to keep the chunky potatoes rather than mashing them. Oh, also I did lightly boil my potatoes rather than baking.

Cheddar Biscuits
I was hoping for something "Red Lobster-esque", and these are close but a bit too dry for my tastes/what I wanted. They are tasty, though! I used another reviewers suggestion and brushed them with garlic butter instead of garlic salt (if you do this, make sure you add a pinch of salt to the mix since you're not putting it on top).

Apple-Cinnamon Syrup
Gave it 4 stars because I don't know what the exact recipe will be like - I kind of just used this as a starting point and threw stuff together. I only had one apple (granny smith), so I estimated amounts based on that. I didn't have corn starch, so I used a tiny bit of flour. I added some allspice (just a tiny tad) with the cinnamon. I gotta say - it was delish! Used it on peanut butter pancakes - my 2-yr-old finicky eater ate almost 3!
