I cook for friends, relatives, and co-workers. I actually cook to relax - then send off the outcomes to other to enjoy. I like the challenge of cooking a good meal that tastes great that opens up new tastes and flavors for people who haven't tried things outside of their comfort zone before.

We have no cooking traditions. Let's face it - my mother was a terrible cook. My grandmother was of the "I don't know how I just make it" school, so I've taught myself to cook.
My cooking triumphs
Just did some great Indian - chicken curry and sag paneer. Yum!
My cooking tragedies
Luckily enough nothing's been really tragic. Maybe it didn't taste as good as I thought it would, but nothing completely inedible.

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread
I just took this to our office Christmas party and it was hit! I took along a can of cream cheese frosting for folks to put on if they wished - some people even made "pumpkin bread and cream cheese sandwiches".
