About this Cook
I'm a student in my 3rd year at the University of Guelph taking Bsc Nutitional & Nutraceutical Science :)
My favorite things to cook
I love trying to make things right from scratch:) i recently made my own seitan and homemade yogurt! i would love to try and make a simple cheese and i planning on trying to make my own tofu:)
My cooking triumphs
I successfully planned and prepared my first thanksgiving dinner away from home for my boyfriends and our close friends.
My cooking tragedies
I tried to make homemade whole grain bread, but when i was doing the second rise in the pans i messed them up and they sunk! i thought i would just bake them off anyways and turn them into bread crumbs... but i had a better idea ;) i rolled the dough out extra thin and cut them into small squares and baked them, homemade crackers:) they turns out pretty good, just like Wheat Thins

Bagels I
these turned out ok, but i had to cook them longer because they were still quite moist in the middle. they were also a little too "tough" and not the same texture regular bagels

Spinach Brownies
I did not care for this recipe! it was mushy in the middle, and i cooked it for longer than the recipe stated (and yes i drained and patted my spinach with paper towels before adding them to the mix) what a waste:(

Classic Macaroni Salad
awesome! comes together very quickly:) i only added about 1 Tbs of sugar, i used cider vinegar insead of white, and i added frozen peas to the last minute of pasta cooking, and i topped it off with chopped boiled eggs and a sprinkling of paprika
