Savannah's Best Marinated Portobello Mushrooms
I wound up making a couple small modifications to this. I didn't have cooking wine nor did I have fresh garlic. I omitted the wine and subbed 1/4 tsp garlic salt for each clove. It was easy and worked out to be rather tasty. I'll happily make this one again.

Buttermilk Scones
My best friend is a scone "snob" having grown up with an Irish grandmother who was straight off the boat and made scones that everyone loved. These scones, while not just like Grandma's, definitely met with the seal of approval. I thought they were good, but they tasted like buttermilk biscuits to me. I think that the next batch is going to get a spoonful of sugar to sweeten it up a bit.

Irish Soda Bread in a Skillet
This ia a bread that's guaranteed to disappear quickly after coming out of the oven. Make with true buttermilk for an even tastier treat.
