About this Cook
I am married, I have 1 son Adam he's 2 1/2 yrs old. I'm the 2nd child in a family of 5, I worked as a Senior Kindergarten teacher for 2 yrs before having my child and have decided to be a house mommy until I'm done having kids. I would like to own my own bakery one of these days...wish me luck!
My favorite things to cook
I really love baking, i'm not so much into cooking, I cook cause I have to alot of the times but baking is all fun for me! It's kind of a luxury to bake, and this website is just feeding my curiosity, I love it!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Don't really have any, but I am working on creating my own with my family here, husband and kid(s). I know my son loves baking with me, so I let him use the handmixer and mix the eggs and oils and sugars before I take over, since he probably would over mix the dry ingredients and we all know that is not good!
My cooking triumphs
Making the most delicious Apple Pie after soooooo many attempts! So juicy and just so flavorful without being over the top.
My cooking tragedies
A lot! Probably when my muffins kept coming out flat and than I realized I was over mixing. Also realizing different butters and flours result in a totally different texture. Lastly following recipes from tv...I find they never work, because there are never any reviews and as we all know on Allrecipes their are tons of reviews, feedback and changes to improve recipes that without them we wouldn't know what to do!

Black Magic Cake
Holy smolly this was the best chocolate cake I have every eaten. You have to make this and do not change a single thing! If you don't have buttermilk, just use 1 cup of milk and about 1 tbsp vinegar and let it sit for 5 minutes. WOW WOW....I made this into a black forest cake it was AMAZING! Thank you for this recipe....
