About this Cook
Im originally from England, now living in Missouri thanks to my wonderful husband! We met while he was stationed overseas and we spent some time living in Germany before ending up in Saint Louis. It was pretty much love from the start. We have two beautiful boys who LOVE to eat! And my husband is so enthusiastic and supportive of my cooking! Our family loves to try new things, which is so much fun but challenging!! Im a vegetarian, but all my guys love meat. My husband loves HOT spicy foods, but the boys and I dont! We are huge fans of foreign foods, especially European foods as we have both been lucky enough to travel to various countries and try the local foods. I love shopping from at the farmers markets and try to do our cooking from scratch. Im on the verge of trying to make homemade pasta to accompany my husbands homemade spaghetti sauce! We also would like to try to make homemade mozerella!!
My favorite things to cook
I love making homemade tarts. My english Fish and Chips are always a hit and I especially enjoy making appetizers. Im pretty good at cooking meats too, despite not having a bite of it since I was 9! My boys called me 'The Best Chicken Winger'.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love the holidays when our families can join together and all bring a dish!
My cooking triumphs
The crust from the tarts I make are homemade and I always receive compliments on those.
My cooking tragedies
I melt utensils all the time! And I botched zucchini bread twice in a row once! Dont ask!!

Homemade Black Bean Veggie Burgers
Wow! With a husband and two boys, im the only vegetarian in my house and im not sure who enjoyed this more, me or them! This is a fantastic receipes, so flavourful and my husband says they are just as good as hamburgers! I used an orange bell pepper instead of green and added some sweetcorn and left out the hot sauce, and baked them....delish!!! Will have again and again and again! Thanks for the fab recipe!

Classic Fish and Chips
Although this receipe may be great for some peoples taste, as an a true Brit I would like to suggest some changes, I have perfected a receipe that is as close to fish & chips from a chippy in England as I can get. Soak the cut potatoes overnight in water, when cooking cook until just turning golden and remove from oil, finish all the potatoes that way and once they are all golden re-fry until cooked. They tates SO good that way. And just use a dark ale like Newcastle Brown Ale and flour for your batter. PERFECT!
