Boilermaker Tailgate Chili

This was pretty good. I took the advise of others and cut back on the spiciness- big mistake. it was missing something and i think the extra zip would have made it better.

Saffron Rice

I had trouble finding the right cut of beef, so I bought what the butcher recommended. The meat was a little tough, but the flavor was great! I made this with black beans and saffron rice- Add a little dolop of sour cream and wala!

Scallops with White Wine Sauce II

I simmered the scallops in the sauce. It is fantastic! Make sure you check your scallops. Sometimes the scallops come with a little flap on the side that needs to be taken off before you start cooking. It is the piece that connected the scallop to the shell and it tastes really bitter if you bite into it. If you had a bad tasting scallop- give it another shot. This could be the reason and it is easy to fix!! The flap just tears right off!

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

So soft! So good! The best cookies I have ever made!! My boyfriend made the comment that you can't even tell that the pudding mix is in the cookies.

Sangria by the Pros

I soaked the fruit in Brandy over night. It worked out well. The first glass of sangria tasted a little tart, but it got alot better really fast! I will be making this again for sure!

Mom's Baked Beans II

The second best baked beans I have ever had! (the first best are from my boyfriends grandmother and her recipe is very similar) I made 4 times this recipe for a party- half in the oven and half in the slow cooker. The beans from the oven turned out WAY better. They were alot thicker. My boyfriends grandmother even complimented me on them :)

Garden Pasta Salad

This was pretty tasty. I made a TON for a party I had. I agree with others on using grape or cherry tomatoes and halving them. I also made three times what this recipe was for and only used one bottle of Italian dressing. It needed a little more- so I added oil and red wine vinegar to taste instead of another bottle of dressing. It was great!

Kielbasa and Cabbage II

excellent! I actually used 1tsp cayenne pepper instead of Cajun seasoning and it was a little on the spicy. We ate the whole thing anyway!! I'm craving it again just thinking about it!

Chicken and Dumplings III

I would normally give this 3 stars, but my boyriend ate 3 bowls in one sitting! I made some adjustments, and it turned out a little too thick for me. I still had leftovers the next day though!
