Pumpkin Pie!
Apple Pie!

Pumpkin Maple Pie Supreme
This is the best pumpkin pie ever! I have been making it every year for Thanksgiving for five years, (and a few Christmases, by request) My husband and his grandfather usually don't eat pumpkin pie, but they eat this one! I use canned pumpkin for it and it always turns out fine, next year I think I will try using a real pumpkin. I really think the maple syrup is what gives it the great flavor.

Never, Never Fail Pie Pastry
This is a great pie crust, I have always tried to make a crust, and end up sending my husband out to buy the roll out ones for the store. It was really sticky coming out of the bowl, so I just added tons of flour while I was working with it. It rolled out great, and let me easily cut out the lattice work top and decorative leaves for my pie this year. I doubled the recipe to make a two crust pie and have enough left over for the bottom of a pie at least. I also used 1/2 shortening and 1/2 butter instead of lard. It looks amazing and tastes even better! Kudos for a pie crust I didn't screw up!

Sarah's Applesauce
This is a really good recipe, I only gave it 4 stars because I think it calls for too much water and sugar! This is my first time making applesauce, though my grandmother made it a lot when I was a kid, so I was craving some this year.I made a huge batch for thanksgiving last night, and some extra for my husband to eat before Thursday. I used 6 lbs of apples (Macintosh), and about 4-5 cups of water, and 1 3/4 cup of sugar and about 2 tbls of cinnamon. I used half white and half brown because that was all I had left, I also added nutmeg. after about 15 minutes of cooking I was able to use my potato masher to mash the apples in the saucepan. Then I added some whole very thin slices of 1 grannysmith, and let it all cook another 10 minutes or so longer. I ended up straining out the rest of the water, because I like chunky applesauce like the kind at Chicken out. it was about 2 cups of water. I have had to threaten my husband with no pie, if he eats all the applesauce before thursday. It is taking alot of will power to stay out of it.
