Gravy Baked Pork Chops

This is very basic and I think every mom has made this at some point. This is more of a starter recipe. I usually add mushrooms, onions, or a package of pork gravy mix...

Simple Hamburger Stroganoff

Pretty good version but needs just a bit more in the flavor department. I added garlic powder and pepper. I also used rice because my family prefers it. Next time I might cut back on the cream cheese but other than that we liked it. I will make it again.

Tuna Noodle Casserole II

Not bad at all. I added peas and used bread crumbs. Next time I will add more cheese and I will probably use the chips too. I definetly is a nice casserole!

Salisbury Steak Deluxe

My whole family enjoyed this. After I browned the patties I placed them in a 13 by 9 baking dish. I poured the sauce on top of the patties and baked until they were done. I also added some flour to the drippings in the pan and wisked it with milk to make a gravy. I added a little bit of kitchen bouquet to the gravy to give it a nice brown color. This tasted so homemade it was fantastic. My patties stayed together but just barely. I also added fresh sliced mushrooms to the sauce for the patties, very nice touch!!

Baked Potato Soup

This is the best potato soup I've ever made. The basil IS the secret ingredient and all you have to do to stretch this soup is add more half and half. I put the bacon and cheese in it to save time. I served it with a small spinach salad and a roll.

Peppermint Meringues

Love this recipe!!! Its so cheap and makes so many. Its also very versatile. I made it as directed, with just vanilla, with chocolate chips and peppermint, and with food coloring. The batch I made with vanilla and crushed candy cane reminded me of those soft peppermints. So good.. I'm making more as we speak.

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

I just loved loved loved this dough. After 1 1/2 hours of chill time it was so easy to work with. It also made a lot of cookies. I made 50 to be exact. I tried other recipes on this site and have failed but this was super easy and made fantastic cutouts.

Sugar Cookie Icing

I have to give this recipe 5 stars because I don't think I have ever made cookie icing this good and handy! I made cookies with my 5 year old and we liked drizzling one color on top of a base color. I didn't realize either that a little goes a long way with this stuff.

Deluxe Sugar Cookies

My kids were so excited to make cookies so I made this dough the night before, rolled it into a ball, wrapped it up tight, and then the next day after school it crumbled into a million different pieces. Totally diappointing

Creamed Corn

I made this with less liquid and instead of 1 cup of romano I used 1/3 cup of sprinkle parmesan and romano that I already had. It was a perfect consistancy and not too cheesy! Loved it!

Holiday Wild Rice

I made this one Thanksgiving for my friend who is Phillipino. He jokes that there is never rice at our holiday dinners! So I made this and everyone just loved it. It is nice to have a choice other than stuffing.

Frost-On-The-Pumpkin Pie

Ever since I found this recipe I have made it every Thanksgiving. My family loves it and I usually have to make 2 or more. It saves so much time because you can make it ahead of time and freeze it very easily.
