Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie
delicious!! chocolate cookies are my achilles heel - they never come out right. these however were amazing and were gone before lunch time. i doubled the recipe since i was cooking for my class, and as per other suggestions used room temperature eggs, melted and cooled butter, and refrigerated over night. the only reason i give these 4 instead of 5 stars is because they're best fresh out of the oven. i cooked them in the evening around 8 or 9pm, and the next morning @ 7am they were significantly harder. still softer than normal chocolate chip cookies in the middle and i got no complaints; just wish they would've stayed as soft and chewy for longer than a couple hours. i wonder if all the butter was the cause of that...

Three-Cheese Potatoes
have mercy this was good! i forgot to add the butter which i think made the potatoes stick to the foil a little bit but not too much; they still came off pretty clean. i omitted the chives because i didn't have any and i'm glad i did because the onion was just enough for me. anything more and it would've been overkill for my personal tastes. oh and this recipe yields a HUGE amount! far more than four servings...

Colleen's Slow Cooker Jambalaya
i followed the exact recipe minus the cayenne pepper as i can't handle things too spicy, and i used creole seasoning as opposed to cajun seasoning because it's what i had on hand. flavor wise it was great! and the sausage had just enough kick for me - the cayenne would've killed me! i cooked it 4 1/2 hours on high, adding the shrimp at 3 1/2 hours and 2 cups of rice at 4 hours. it was too soupy for me, thus why i added the rice on recommendation from other reviewers. the rice definitely soaked up the liquid, however i think it soaked it up too much and the rice ended up mushy. so maybe more rice would solve that problem however i don't know that my crockpot could hold much more! next time i'll omit either the chicken broth or the juice from the tomoatoes to make it less soupy, probably still add the rice in as i like the flavored rice but perhaps more of it, and i'll use raw shrimp as opposed to cooked because i think raw shrimp holds more flavor. i'll have to try it again with these changes and hopefully boost up my rating...
