I'm a 23 year old from Southeastern Pennsylvania. My boyfriend Eric and I just bought our first home together in June 2008 and I love cooking for him, our friends and our families. I love anything that's quick and easy! I work full time but I want to make a nice homecooked meal each weeknight so ease is #1. Some of my favorite recipes (from this site, I might add!) are Chili Dog Casserole, Saucy Pork Chops and Honey Mustard Chicken Tenders. I am of Irish and German heritage, as is my boyfriend. A lot of the food I cook is from recipes that have been passed down through the women in my family--such as my mom's famous German potato salad and my grandmother's German chocolate cake. Just recently I tried my hand at baking some cookies for our Thanksgiving potluck dinner. I made pumpkin chocolate chip cookies with walnuts (recipe from this site!) and they were a HUGE hit! I was so proud of myself because I'm definitely NOT a baker--the extent of my baking skills prior to that consisted of preheating the oven and putting some Pillsbury sugar cookies on a baking sheet. I can't say I've made anything that was particularly horrible or inedible--yet! I'm sure it will happen someday.
