Pancakes
Used all purpose flour with 1 1/2 teaspoons of baking powder and 1/2 teaspoon of salt. Came out great! Much better than the boxed batter! :)

Pancake Stack with Syrup
We made the syrup only, not the pancakes. Also, we used vanilla extract instead of rum extract. The syrup came out great and saved us a trip to the grocery store!

Cake Mixes from Scratch and Variations
I have to say...I wasn't a big fan of how this cake turned out. I'm a HUGE cake eater too. Weird! I followed the directions exactly and used a stand up mixer, but it just wasn't pleasing to me. I'm giving it a three because it could've been my fault for screwing it up.
