About this Cook
The name is Naomi, I'm 20 years old. I'm a full time student and full time worker. My actual hobbies were not really in the options so some more things I like to do it play games, work out, manage my snakes, visit petco often, and play on the internet. I'm an IT student so a lot of my spare time goes into computers. I can also find a lot of great recipes on the internet. I live with my boyfriend and I love to cook for him. He loves to eat so it works out. I love pampered chef and the crazy things they come up with to make cooking more convenient. I do cook for a lot of people, friends, family. Every now and then I will bring a new recipe into a big family dinner and I can't think of a time where someone wasn't happy or when there was any left. I think if I wasn't going to start a career in computers I would try something in culinary arts.
My favorite things to cook
My favorite type of cooking would have to be baking. I absolutely love it and could do it all the time. It just so happens I am very good at it too. My fave meat is probably chicken and I find that the easiest thing to cook with any recipe. I hope to challenge myself with many more interesting and yummy recipes on this site. I think Italian or mexican food is the most fun to cook.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love my moms 7 layer salad. The dressing is a secret recipe. It very good. I just love how being a good cook is a common in our family. So everytime we get together everyone can usually expect a big and tasty dinner. I hope to soon have the big gatherings at my own home too.
My cooking triumphs
Nothing to great yet. I plan to make a Thanksgiving dinner by myself though soon. Maybe this year?? I do have pretty large dinner with a couple neighbors and the fact that I can have everyone in my living room floor watching a movie and stuffed even when they leave feels good. I then know they couldn't get enough.
My cooking tragedies
Well... honetly nothing too badd either. I have not provided enough food a couple times. and baked some cookies that had no eggs, or way too much baking soda, or something to that extent where they didn't really taste liek cookies at all. Oh! I tried to make a big fancy bread/crousant...yah that didn't work out and it wasn't done in the middle, and too done on the outside. And burnt one. That was prolly the worst for Thanksgiving. Good things I wasn't cooking the turkey.

Green Bean Casserole I
I love this recipes! It's EXTREMELY easy to make and it tastes great!. I made this awesome chicken recipe last night with the green bean casserole and some smashed potatoes with bacon and cheddar and he said the casserole was his favorite! I was suprised that he said it was his favorite but I'm glad because it was easier than the other things. :P I have made this several times exactly as the recipe explains and will continue to do so because its amazing. I have tried cubed chicken in it to for some protein once and that is great too.

Oven Potato Wedges
They were great! But they do not look liek the picture which is more of what I was going for and what I like more...when they have a pretty crunchy coating. I cooked at about435 degress for 55 mins they were a little crunchy on one side so next time i will cook longer and flip. I also used a little season salt to spice it up just a little bit but I would recommend anyone's fave spice. I sprayed the pan with some oil, very lightly, so they wouldnt stick. I def. recommend doing that. They were perfectly soft the way I like in the insideI just really wish there was a little more crunch on the outside. My boyfriend loved them and can't wait for me to make them again. He literally ate 80% of mine off my plate because he finished before me and I was getting full. I also used no onion (only because my boyfriend isn't a huge fan but I think that would make it taste great! And I will probably try it next time.) Thanks for the recipe, it is yummy, I would just put a different pic up because it is a bit misleading.

Super Al's Cocktail Sauce
I did not have horseradish so I substituted that with about a tablespoon of A1 steak sauce and about a 1/4 teaspoon of ceyanne pepper. It runed out great. My boyfriend loved it, as did I. I will definitely be making this again for our shrimp and other finger foods.
